Thermography is the study of thermal images obtained through the use of a thermal imaging camera. The images obtained are a measurement of the infrared energy emitted by an object. All objects above absolute zero (-459 degrees Fahrenheit) emit infrared energy (heat). Thermal Imaging cameras capture this energy and display it in the form of a picture or an outline.
Through the use of a Thermal Imaging camera, Gettle Incorporated can provide scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections for your facility’s electrical systems. These inspections allow us to look at present conditions, determine trends and identify problems with little to no interruption to your facility’s daily operation. Our Certified Thermographer can provide advance notice of problem areas. This forewarning can save costly downtime and in some cases catastrophic failure and serious injury.
